Project brief
Sectore is an e-commerce project with a shopping website and mobile app. Both customer interfaces connect product browsing and checkout to the store's inventory records. The documented scope focuses on a customizable storefront, the purchase flow and synchronized inventory rather than a fixed hosted-store template.
Users and responsibilities
- Shoppers browse the catalogue, review products and complete an order through the web or mobile interface.
- Store operators maintain product and inventory information used by both channels.
Using one inventory source matters when the same products appear in more than one customer channel. The operating team needs ownership of catalogue changes and stock corrections so the website and app do not present conflicting information.
Delivered scope
- Customer shopping website.
- Customer mobile app.
- Product-browsing and checkout flow.
- Inventory synchronization between the retail interfaces and store records.
- Customizable storefront presentation.
Shopping workflow
The customer browses the published catalogue, selects a product and moves through checkout. The resulting order must use the same product and stock identifiers maintained by the store. Inventory updates then need to remain consistent across the website and mobile app so a later customer sees the current availability.
Implementation decisions
The product model should define variants, prices, stock units and product status before catalogue import. Shipping zones, returns, taxes and fulfilment ownership also need written rules because they affect checkout and order handling. Payment processing requires an eligible merchant account with the chosen provider. Search visibility depends on the published product content, crawlable web pages and technical implementation, not on the platform name alone.
Verification and handoff
Test an order from product selection through checkout, inventory update and fulfilment handoff. Repeat the check from both customer channels and verify that they use the same price and availability. Also cover unavailable products, failed payments, cancelled orders and returned stock according to the agreed business rules. The handoff should identify who maintains products, inventory, delivery settings and each external integration.
Possible next phase
A later phase can add integrations or storefront changes after catalogue and inventory ownership are stable. The scope should name each integration, its data source, its failure behaviour and the team responsible for ongoing maintenance.
