Project brief
This mobile marketplace connects customers with home service providers. Customers browse service categories and provider listings, review service details and request an appointment. The project also includes notifications, payment integration and an administration panel for platform settings and records. The gallery documents both the customer app and administration screens.
Users and responsibilities
- Customers select a service and provider, submit booking details and follow the request.
- Service providers are represented through business and service listings presented to customers.
- Platform administrators maintain the marketplace through the administration panel.
The operating business still needs a process for approving providers and supporting customers. The application records the booking workflow, but it does not by itself verify a provider's qualifications.
Delivered scope
- Mobile discovery interface for home-service categories.
- Provider and service listings.
- Service detail and booking screens.
- Location and appointment inputs used in the request flow.
- Notifications and payment integration.
- Administration panel for platform management.
Booking workflow
The customer begins with a category, reviews the available services or businesses and opens the relevant detail page. The booking flow then collects the information needed for a visit, including the service, location and appointment details represented in the interface. Notifications keep the customer informed about the request, while the administration panel gives the operator a view of the system configuration and activity.
Implementation decisions
Service areas, appointment availability, cancellation rules and provider approval need to be defined before launch. The catalogue also needs a consistent structure for categories, services, prices and provider availability. Payment scope depends on the selected provider and merchant account. Refunds, cancelled visits and unsuccessful payments require written operational rules as well as interface states.
Verification and handoff
Test a booking from category selection through the final recorded request. Confirm provider and service data, location input, appointment availability, notifications, payment responses and administration access. Also test what the customer sees when a time slot is no longer available or a payment cannot be completed. Provider onboarding and customer support should have owners outside the app before the marketplace opens to users.
Possible next phase
A later phase can extend service areas, booking rules or provider-management tools after the current booking flow has been tested with the operating team. New functions should not go live until the matching support and provider-review process is ready.
